At Stoney Creek Farm, breeding is our only business. We know how important your mares are and provide quality, personalized care during their stay. We have excellent conception rates in both mares at the farm and with transported semen. Ordinary vet fees at the farm will be included in the 2009 stud fee. We look forward to working with you in making Docs Tejon part of your breeding program.

Stoney Creek Farm is located in scenic North Western Pennsylvania, 7 miles NE of Meadville. We have been breeding quality Quarter Horses since the early 80’s, proudly offering a truly versatile Quarter Horse. Our first love has always been the working lines, and in 1996, with the help of Brenda & Dick Pieper (NRHA Hall of Fame) we purchased Docs Tejon, an own son of Peppy San Badger. Tejon began his training in cutting with Paul Hansma, ranking 2nd at the NCHA Futurity Screening, then was put into a Reining program as a 3 year old. The first time in the pen he scored 75 under both judges at the Reno Spectacular! We continued to campaign him, working with Pete Kyle, AQHA Horseman of the Year, in Reining & Working Cow Horse. Rick Chayer, multiple World and Congress Champion Trainer taught Tejon Calf Roping, Heading and Heeling, earning his AQHA Performance Championship. After several successful show seasons with Rick and C.R. Bradley, World Champion Roper, we retired Tejon to let the ‘kids’ takeover.

With limited foals on the ground his offspring have been performing successfully in 9 events! We are proud of the fact that his first offspring to show in the AQHA was the 2003 AQHA World Bronze winner in Jr. Heeling and a finalist in Jr. Calf Roping. In 2004 he was also the World Bronze Winner in Jr. Calf Roping and is an AQHA Performance Champion. Peppy did it again at the World in 2006 - this time earning a Bronze in Sr. Heading! Tejon has sired point and money earners in cutting, reining, team penning, sorting and roping events. We are pleased to announce his first AQHA Amateur Superior Champion in 2008, DT Cookie Cutter. along with siring numerous Open Superiors. Tejon’s offspring are as versatile & intelligent as he is, and perhaps most importantly they have his Heart. Whether you’re breeding for a specific event or a great all around--you can’t go wrong with Tejon’s Proven Pedigree & Performance.

Breeding is our only business, we are not trainers or exhibitors, just a couple of folks who enjoy good horses! At Stoney Creek we value your mare as you do, providing exceptional care during her stay with us, including daily turnouts and special treats! We believe happy mares are bred mares and have an excellent conception rate in mares staying here as well as with Cooled Transported Semen. Considerations will be given to proven mares, multiple mares and as always-- our great past clients!

Please stop by or call--with us you’re more than a customer, you’re a friend.
